Public Affairs

The South Carolina State Guard Public Affairs unit is a trusted and respected source of information, providing the public with timely, accurate, and truthful reporting in a clear and concise manner.

The mission of the Public Affairs Office is to fulfill the SCSG’s obligation to keep the citizens of South Carolina and their military informed as well as help to establish the conditions that lead to confidence in the South Carolina’s State Guard and its readiness to conduct operations across the state. Public Affairs operations include public information, command information, and public engagement. These efforts support transparency, cohesion, and trust from within the State Guard to the broader community and are synchronized with other information-related capabilities to shape the information environment effectively.
